BUILD PHASE 2
PATIENCE has played a big role in this build. We dropped the car off at Patience Metal Fabrication, they are located in Brooklyn Park MN. This shop produces exceptional, high-quality work, they have worked on this car before. They never end to amaze me with their level of service and expertise by going above and beyond. Our 1998 Lexus GS300 Time Attack build is a small example.
It has been close to 3 years since they last had it at their shop. This GS started as a dual purpose build, street but track ready. The more and more we considered the use of this car, we came to the conclusion that it would be better to go from dual purpose to single purpose. So once that was determined, we got to work and droppedit off.
Ever since this visit, the direction of this build has evolved. The big reason behind its evolution has been Gary and Bryan, the co-owner duo behind PMF. Through our research and education on different things we want to add to the car, Gary and Bryan have been able to bring perspective to our wants. It’s nice having a team that cares enough to let you think through some of your wild ideas. Knowledge is power, through our own study and research we have been able to focus on what is needed.
Now the car has returned after a long year wait, where the car just sat inside the garage collecting dust. Through the help of family, friends, and neighbors, we got the car on a flatbed. Before hitting the road we started to get snow, as some of you may have experienced. This winter has been a wild one. This slowed us down but it didn’t stop us, not this time. The car arrived at PMF and waited for its time to go under the knife once more. There are still many things in store for this before making it back to 507GARAGE. Below you will find some pictures of the current progress.
